Eye Examinations
At First Contact Opticians, it has always been our purpose to help to improve and preserve our patients’ vision. We believe that regular examinations are the best way to maintain and protect your vision and eye health, which is why we created the First Contact Care Plan.
Book Appointment
During your 30 minute examination we will conduct a series of diagnostic tests to establish the overall health of your eyes. Each examination is tailored to the individual, and where necessary supplementary tests may be recommended.
Once your examination is complete we will take the time to address any concerns you may have had, explain all the results, and then make recommendations surrounding vision correction that are appropriate to you and your lifestyle.
We have always taken great pride in being early adopters of the latest technology, which allows us to provide additional clinical services such as a dry eye clinic. These may be recommended at your examination, but are also available upon request.
It is also important not to forget your children’s eyesight, even if you have no concerns. Without good vision, children can experience setbacks in their development that could have been avoided with simple and regular eye examinations. Our resident optometrist Samir has a special interest in paediatric optometry and recommends having children’s eyes examined at least once a year, starting from the age of four years old.
